Dune Coffee Table is a feat of visualisation and manufacture capabilities. Dune is inspired and meticulously resolved. From the movement created not only through the structure but also instilled by the grain of the robot-sculpted Maple wood, it is as if wind driven sand were composing the form. The sculptural release stays true to the graphic presence and importance placed on highlighting materials established across designer Pietro Franceschini’s collection.
Pietro Franceschini is an architect and designer based in New York and Florence. His latest project PF|Studio was born in 2020 as an interior and furniture design practice. Franceschini’s collections are minimalistic, sophisticated and raw at the same time. Working across mediums for his inspired imaginings, it is clear that visualisation and narrative are important to his practice.
