Caravel Wood Centre Table is part of the Caravels Low Tables set - a family of 3 low tables made by classic Portuguese materials: rattan, wood and stone. The name comes from the history between Italy and Portugal; Colombo, the Italian explorer, left from Portugal with three caravels (a light sailing ship of the 15th, 16th, and 17th centuries) to discover the world. Designer Federico Peri’s exploration of volumes has brought about a timeless and sophisticated set that is layered in unexpected nuance. Each caravel is as striking individually as they are as a set.
Federico Peri is a Milan based interior & product design studio founded in 2011. The studios projects range from retail concept, commercial spaces, private homes to furniture design. The studio has designed furniture and lighting for brands including Baxter and FontanaArte.
