Paul Matter is a New Delhi based design studio founded by Nikhil Paul that explores light design by blending the traditional with the experimental, form with function, and detail with the ordinary. The longevity of the designs is ensured by combining timeless visual language with materials that refine with age.

Drawing from a rich palette, the materials used include aged brass, copper, stone, clay and blown glass, the studio works closely with master craftsmen, developing handcrafted products, finished and assembled with great attention to detail, one piece at a time.

The studio’s work has been showcased at Salone del Mobile, Tokyo Design Week, Masterpiece London, Nomad Monaco and AD Design Show. Features across important design and lifestyle publications including Architectural Digest, Wallpaper, World of Interiors, Vogue and Elle Décor, further cement the studio’s importance and contribution to design.
